Conservatory - excellent
I contacted Mr Howe to provide a conservatory base - a raft base with strip foundations, under floor insulation, dwarf walls and cavity insullation, double damp proof, and between him and a conservatory fitter he works with I had no problems. The gutters, link up to the mains drains, solar control roof, 10 year guarentee, a lot of electrics - 4 double plugs, electric vents and rain sensors, thermostat, all fitted by a qualified electrician, all the floor tiling. All with a written quote, and any little things such as a few tiles that came loose (Not his fault) put right pretty quickly. All on budget not on time but that wasnt a problem because he only wanted to be paid for what he has done. My relatives have used him for roofing & roof velux fitting, all with no problems & no leaks. You see his vehicle a lot in West Bridgwater, because he has a reputation of solid workmanship and is honest and reccomended by many. Gives good advice and does'nt mind explaining whats going on. I got the best Ultra frame conservatory built for half of what I might of paid elsewhere. I reccomend him and will be using him again myself.

Driveway
I had several quotes from various driveway installation companies and chose David Howe not because he was the cheapest price but he answered all the right questions and suggested sensible variations. They carried out the work to an excellent standard excavating the large area to a good depth, excellent underlaying all the correct layers before laying the block paving, building walls etc. I would have no problem in reccomending Mr Howe.

oh i forgot. he also did not install a soak away for the rainwater, instead just leaving the downpipe going straight into the soil directly adjacent to the foundations of the building! Futhermore, when asked on numerous occasions to come to rectify faults that immediately came to light he would never turn up. Turns out now that (according to him) although he still trades it is as a different limited company to that under which he carried out the work. Very convienient!!! I would stick to more professional and reputable tradesman in future. Can highly recommend Mckays Property Maintenance & Renovations, who had to clean up and repair the mess that Mr David Howe was happy to charge for then run for the hills having done a completely sub-standard job.

do not touch with a barge pole
Used this "gentleman" to build a lean to style conservatory. He failed to properly instal the electrics, left the roof leaking water and failed to apply a damp course. Better still he left two external drains open, and just coveredn them with floor boards. I'm now left with rotten timber and mould as the drains blocked!!!!
