Outrageous Service

My family have used Saughton Mill for years, as their pricing is competitive. However I will never use this outfit again, nor will anyone we know. Two weeks ago we visited for some utility cupboard lino, a very basic request. To cut a long story short one staff member, having quoted us a price for fitting, then retracted claiming that he had not quoted the price that he had at all. The whole episode was deeply disturbing, with the said staff member deciding to call us first liars, then pathetic, then he swore twice at my husband. Yes, you read right, he loudly, twice, and in front of other staff members, swore at a couple of customers. This outrageous and frankly threatening behaviour has no place in a civilised community. Needless to say we walked out without a purchase and, it should be noted, got exactly the same lino we had selected, with fitting, at at cheaper price at Hermiston Gate's Carpetright 30 minutes later, where the service was excellent. That any professional premises which serves the public can find this acceptable beggars belief. Bottom line: this could have been your wife, mother, or daughter who was treated in this way. Go somewhere else.
