We went to see Judy Hume for free financial advice. We were promised if we bought a product she would get a fee from whoever offered the product. She had no understanding of tax matters and couldnt give useful personal advice so we declined any product. We were then faced with a bill amounting to just under £500 and in the end had to take out very expensive life assurance we could have got at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. When we objected she sent a letter saying it appeared in the small print of her terms of business. We should have gone to the ombudsman but were too busy. Dont get your fingers burned!
