Local & National Removals

For Local & National removals, depending on the distance of your move we can normally load, travel and unload in the same day. If your move is further afield we may need to load all effects (bar the beds and the kettle!) on day 1 then collect these items first thing on day 2 to give us a good start, travel to your new home, unload all effects and return to depot.

Alternatively we may need to load and travel on day 1 and unload and return on day 2. Everyone's move is individual and our move co-ordinator will work with you to choose the best option for moving.

Whether you are moving home entirely, or just moving furniture to a new place we can cater to you. Our fully insured service can fit your needs.

If you require a packing service we would need access prior to your moving day to prepare all your effects for transportation.

Please note we normally pack only, leaving you to unpack yourself in your own time. If you move locally we can collect your boxes for re-use, or, if you have moved any distance you may give your boxes to a local BAR member.

Schott Removals is based in Darlington at the Lingfield Point Business Park.

Most of our moves are fairly local, some are further afield within the UK and some are European moves door to door. We can also arrange shipping to most parts of the world.

We use enough boxes per year to stack higher than the Eiffel Tower! Our current tape usage is enough to go round the whole M25!

Storage

If you need your effects to be stored, no problem. We would pack our wooden removal containers which are approx 7′ high (220cm) 7′ deep (220cm) x 5′ wide (150 cm) normally at your property depending on access and then return them to our depot for storing.

Depending on the volume of your effects to be stored you could utilise anything from 1-10 containers! A normal 2/3 bedroom house would utilise approx 3-5 containers. Our move co-ordinator would confirm the number required after visiting your property.

Our quotation would be for your move into store and also your move out of storage (as long as you know where you are going to!) Your weekly storage charge is dependant on the number of containers utilised and is invoiced on a monthly basis.
