Awful value

Been here a few times before and had my hair cut by a very lovely blonde man. Today however, I went to get my hair dyed- the price was £50 which is already slightly more expensive then most other salons. A man with darker hair was doing it, towards the end he asked simply if I wanted it dryed, I agreed, expecting perhaps a small extra charge. However when it came to paying he said "That'll be £50 for the dye and, uh, the blow dry ontop of that" sending me a nervous look. The lady then hit me with a total bill of £77!!! They charged me £27 for a blow dry!! In most salons I could get a whole cut and blow dry for that price! And at no point did he mention the extra charge. Absolutely ridiculous overpricing! He didn't even do anything special when drying it, he did exactly what I would have done at home with my own blow dryer- if I'd known it was going to cost £27 I would have just left the salon with wet hair! I would mind so much, but the whole time he was doing my hair he pulled terribly hard and seemed to pay no mind at all to me wincing, infact he hardly glanced at me at all. I felt like a test doll, he was completely oblivious to how much pain he was inflicting on me- pretty much the entire time he was with me. He was even brushing my hair extremely roughly and scarcely paying attention to what he was doing. I feel as if I have just paid a ridiculous £77 to sit in a chair and be tortured!! I like the resulting colour, but quite frankly I could have paid £5 for a box colour and got my mother to do it- with exactly the same result. And she wouldn't have nearly ripped my hair out! I'm only giving the service 2 stars because the blonde guy who did my hair before was absolutely wonderful. My advice is don't get your hair done my the man with dark hair, and for heavens sake- don't get a blow dry!
