"All carers need me time", says Jackie Jones, Director of Secure Sitting Service Ltd. We provide just that by giving welcome respite breaks for carers. This confidential service includes individual attention, conversation, good company, in fact anything that will help to make the cared for as comfortable as possible. Our service is there for people who may feel isolated and would like regular company in order to interact in their community.


We provide a sitting service enabling carers to have time to themselves for shopping trips, theatre visits or just some 'me time'. You can enjoy a well-earned break knowing that the person you care for is safe and supervised, with a responsible person instantly in contact should the unforeseen arise.


In addition to our sitting service we offer the provision of small personal services such as light meals. We are also able to help maintain community access by providing support and companionship for trips and outings and can accompany to appointments (by prior arrangement).

My husband and I wanted to commission the secure sitting service on behalf of friends, the husband has Parkinson's with dementia and the wife is his carer. We wanted for the wife to be able to have respite time away whilst knowing that her husband was in good hands. We arranged to meet Jackie Jones beforehand and were immediately struck by her humor, sincerity and compassion.
