What we do
Our ever-expanding team, of over 700 dedicated people, provides tailored support to help individuals in a range of situations: including young people who've never had a job, people in work who need help to progress, people who have an illness which has prevented them from completing their journey into employment, and people who are ex-offenders wanting to turn their lives around, get back to work and re-join society. Whatever challenges someone faces, when they come to us, they receive flexible support to make sure they get the right help for them.

Services

We are a leading supplier of vocational skills and welfare to work services within the UK: providing services on behalf of the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and European Social Fund (ESF), which meet the needs of Government, individual customers and employers alike.

Working alongside our partners we support over 65,000 people a year into work or training, which has a positive impact on their wider communities and local economies.

The esg story
esg was formed in 2007 through a merger of a number of leading businesses specialising in employment services and skills provision. The five businesses creating esg and forming its Employment and Skills divisions, are:

esg - A Prime Provider of DWP contracts including Work Programme and Mandatory Work Activity.
Sencia - a subcontractor for Work Programme who delivered DWP flagship contracts including New Deal Prime Contractor, New Deal for Disabled People, Employment Zones and ESF.
Orient Gold , Triangle Training and Stl - all national contractors to the SFA for Apprenticeships.
From an original base in Sheffield - where its head office still operates - esg has now grown into a national company and major supplier of employment and skills services which it provides through its network of 20 offices. Even with this growth, our core mission, vision and values have remained the same and have even strengthened as we have witnessed the positive contribution our work has had on the communities where we deliver.
