Cowes Week is the longest running yachting regatta in the world, having been held in early August since the first races started in 1826. Today Cowes is known as home of International yacht racing and is now the greatest yachting regatta in the world! Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week is an increasingly important event on the corporate events and quintessential summer hospitality calendar, attracting many companies to both take part in the racing, shore side activities and to spectate on some of the most luxurious corporate charter yachts and power boats available.
At a standard Cowes Week you will see close to 40 race classes from the small day boats right up to the Grand Prix racing yachts. Cowes Week is full of live entertainment and a colourful carnival atmosphere where thousands of spectators can watch the sailing and enjoy the shore side hospitality. The Friday at Cowes Week celebrates an amazing week of International Yacht Racing with a spectacular fireworks display. Each year they get bigger and better with the Friday evening being a huge corporate evening on the water.
