The shake away shop on bond street lures you in every time. You are heading that way, looking for some thing else, you have no desire to eat or drink a thing, but then, hey, there you are quite near to shake away, then a bit nearer, then too near, then, it crosses your mind that you need to go in and try a shake that you have not had before, even though its probably snowing out there and you are freezing cold. What I am trying to say is that you just cant help yourself and the shops magnetic effect kicks in and there you are in the massive line of hopeful people waiting for there shake. They are loads of money, they fatten you up, but they taste do damn good and anyway, you have walked all the way to this point so what heck.... drink up.

Great shakes

Got to give it a five star rating just for the idea. If you can pass it by without going in then good for you, you will save a small fortune. I have had the odd treat from here and they have been good. It is very satisfying watching all those calories get loaded in to a food mixer , then get mixed to a lumpy pulp, poured in to a cup, sprayed with cream, choc flake and marshmallows, just add some popping candy and wha hay you are off to enjoy the drink of your life. All your days calorie intake in one yummy drink. You have to drink it to the end and then fish out the gooey mess at the bottom, after all you paid through the nose for it. Its a cunning money maker. But I love them..... every now..... and then,........ so am saving for my next one right now..........

Scrummy!

The range of different flavours that you can buy and eat from Shakeaway is massive. From love hearts to oreos to Aero. It is great that after you tell them what flavour you would like you get to see them make the milkshake and get to know exactly what ingredients are used. However there is a downside to this as I realised as I could make them very easily at home for only a fraction of the price that Shakeaway charge. But you are paying for the convinence of them making it. The staff are nice and friendly. Go if you're looking for a treat!

A great idea, but expensive!

This place is a fantastic idea and i wish i'd have thought about making them at home when i was a kid! As an adult you can relive some of your youth by blending up all your favourite chocloate, candies and other sweets and making it into a milkshake. You can then relive your late teens by staggering into the gutter and vomiting all up again because it was so sweet and sickly! AND you get to pay for the pleasure! Seriously, it is a good place for an unusual milkshake but its cheaper to do it at home. Service is good though

what a great idea

What a great idea for a business and what a great little money maker it has become. A shop where you can go for a minimum of £2.70 you can mash up your favorite sweets and drink them as a yummy milk shake. The choice is amazing, you can have parma violets, nutella, milkyway stars, ferreo rocher, extra strong mints, etc, etc, plus some well thought out named shakes for a little extra cash. Then you can also add toppings, inc whipped cream, popping candy, mini oreos, tempted yet, yum. Kids love this place and rightly so, adults seem to love it too, expect to see a chain of shakaways near you soon. What ever happened to the other milk shake bar, its gone, never mind its world domination for shake away.

Great idea but pricey

The shake away shop is on to a winner with this idea. Kids seem to pop up from all over the place and they are all heading here with one thing in mind, which is how to spend a fiver on the most calorie laden drink they can think up. I must admit I have had a dime bar and nutella shake and it was great, also a mint areo shake with a flake topping that was a real corker. But they are a lot of cash and if you have a large family of pleading kiddies begging for one of these you may have to take out a second mortgage. I have decided that I should get a blender and make them at home, but people tell me it will not be the same.

Choose yourself the most disgusting drink possible

Service

Shakeaway is one of those novelties that is well worth a visit when you are in Brighton. The whole principle is pretty basic, choose from a massive selection of sweets, cakes, chocolate bars and all sorts of other things; get it blended with ice cream and enjoy the delightful mess that they have made for you. The damn things can get pricey and having five or more different things in a shake is a fantastic way to make yourself feel violently ill. I'd recommend Reeces Cups and Mars bar! Ha.It is a bit of a pity though that you soon realise you can do better by blending up your own one at home for cheaper and it ends up being smoother.

OK... I don't care if you don't like milkshakes, you will like this place. You can get anything from aero's to extra strong mints to custard in a milkshake (that's a bad combination I must admit!).Whatever time of year I'd recommend checking this place out, sunny, rainy, cold - whatever, you HAVE to go to Shakeaways! My personal recommendation would have to be the 'Sylvia' - Apple pie, custard, ice cream and cinnamon (gorgeous!).Check out the full list of ingredients that you can have here: www.shakeaway.com/milkshakeprint.htmlThis place is a must if you are down in Brighton.
