I have had the most awful experience one can imagine with SheffLets. They are completely unprofessional in every way. If I could give 0 stars I would. But I suppose they deserve the one for being incredibly sly and having no morals whatsoever. 1. They have caller ID and will not answer your calls if they don't want to. The whole "we will also answer the phone when you ring" statement on their website is a lie, like everything else they say. 2. They will not liaise with tenants or landlords, and they will make their own rules instead telling every party involved something different. Once you've paid initial fees and think that you're all set they will pull out with no explanation and will not give you a full refund. If you contact them to chase up your refund then they will ignore you. 3. Don't bother putting in a complaint, it is a family run business so they obviously couldn't care less. Coming across as a smart, reliable and professional company is the last thing on their list (if it's on their list at all). 4. They will breach your confidentiality. How unprofessional! I can't give any further details about my encounter with them as it is currently undergoing an official complaints procedure with the IcO (yes, it's come to that) but I just want to say, stay away from SheffLets. There are plenty of other decent letting agencies out there who won't break the law.
