Hopeless
I used two groupon vouchers for IPL at Shumailas. Every time I booked by phone, the appointment was incorrectly made. They need to retrain staff in this. When I booked at the salon, the appointments were made correctly. The manager tried to argue that I hadn't bought enough vouchers for my treatment, was quite acerbic, until I spelt out that I had bought two lots of vouchers. The treatment room was a hallway, other staff. Members travelled through it on their way to the toilet. The IPL only worked on one area only, and they tried to sell my more sessions when they realised it hadn't worked. They are only interested in doing as little as possible in helping you.

Firstly, at the booked salon therapist did not turn up and I was not notified, came to the salon and waited passed the booking time to know that she is not coming at all. Was booked to Ilford and told it was only 25 mins, which took over an hour by two buses. Therapist there nearly broke my left foot doing massage, still hurts. I am not happy with pedicure and not coming back! NOT RECOMMENDING!

Fab local salon!
Love this place for facials, body massages and hair treatments. Cheap prices to indulge in regularly and great service. The staff and salon itself are fab too. Two thumbs up!

Quite good!
I usually visit this salon for facials and body massages and they have the best treatments for the price. I personally like the salon atmosphere and the therapists are polite. The location is great as it's only a few blocks away from where I live. If you're new to them, try a CACI facial at their place or a Dermalogica one and you'll love it.

Completely disappointed
Completely disappointed with my treatment of hair laser removal. I wasn't explained beforehand the how the treatment worked, what I should and shouldn't do beforehand, aftercare, nothing but a sheet to be signed. Smallprint that the course of 6 sessions runs out after 6 months, although due to work commitments which is partly my fault there was hardly availability for the weekends. Therefore, the 2 sessions I had remaining for the month it was due to expire are now invalid. A huge waste, especially considering I paid and extra £70 for hands which has also expired. After 4 treatments (all of which felt rushed) the hair on my arms have grown back as normal and I have noticed no difference whatsoever. The staff aren't particularly friendly or helpful. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Do not go here, there are plenty of other places that are more keen to genuinely help you and do a good job, than to just take your money.

Awful
Had voucher for package so blatantly not interested. No conversation, rubbish quality of treatment, tatty salon, no attempt to retain custom. Should have realised when I saw sign on wall giving a phone number for complaints! The light wasn't working so I had flashing lights in my face throughout treatment. Unfriendly therapist who rushed treatment. Don't do Groupon offers if you don't want to build custom. Dreadful place.

very poor service
They dont speak much english and they try and rip u off. They speak to eachother in their own lanuage while they do the treatments and u can tell by their actions that they r talking about u in a negative way. Because they're too busy talking to eachother while working, the quality of the treatments r poor. Wouldn't recomend this place

Swindled in Gants Hill
Having bought IPL hair removal laser treatment via Groupon - 6 sessions on a large, medium and small area for £119, I ventured to Shumaila's branch in Gants Hill for treatment. I wanted my shoulders and upper arms done; my voucher stated half arms were a large area and shoulders a medium area, so that basically covered everything. However, on my first visit, I was told shoulders and upper arms (not half arms) were both large areas and told to pay £50 more. The treatment itself was in a grotty back room, fleeting and low intensity. On my second visit, I was then told I could not have a medium area (armpits) done (even though I had paid for it) because I hadn't had a medium area done on my first visit! This was because I expected the shoulders to be already covered as a medium area anyway and obviously had not prepared for treatment anywhere else. To cut a long story short, I have been charged £170 in total and have had 2 sessions of pathetic, rushed, low intensity treatment (the hair has grown back fully) on fewer body areas than I had already paid for. My complaints to Shumailas were ignored, then denied, despite the original terms being written down clearly on my original voucher. Groupon have been notified of this. A waste of my time and money. They are chancers. Avoid.

Botox in Ilford
I visited Shumailas Ilford Branch in essex for my Botox and dermal filler treatment, I was scared in the start but this botox clinic near gants hill best female therapist for this. I booked 3 sessions after every 6 months right now because its the cheapest in market.

Love the Facials and Massage
Shumailas Hair and Beauty have the Best Consultants and beauty therapist, I have uneven skin surface thus had MICRODERMA ABRASION , 3 sessions are more then enough, so they returned my funds immediately , and i enjoyed complimentary Massage aswell

Best Facial at reasonable price
I had my CACI non surgical face lifting facial session from this branch , it was amazing , I really don't need botox anymore. My sister and girl friend recommended me , as they have cost effective rates

Amazing experience
I found shumailas hair and beauty through touch ilford, and reached the destination so easily. Shumailas salons have all facilities for men and woman, I enjoyed the IPL and massage whereas my wife enjoyed facial and hair cut in ilford branch.
