Big thanks for such professional service in supplying and fitting Solar Energy equipment last november (2021). Matt, Benny and Jude from Silvercrest (Solartherm) have just left us after fitting our solar panels, battery and hot water cylinder timer and we wanted to say how impressed we have been with their fantastic work ethics. Everything was slick and smooth, all equipment was protected at each stage of handling. Everything has been fitted in an incredibly professional and competent fashion. All wiring and trunking looks well tied in and tidy. All mess/packaging/debris was tidied up as they went. All 3 guys were courteous and respectful at every stage. When all works were completed, Matt supported us to set up our monitoring system on our phone/ipad, and explained everything really clearly. He was very reassuring that should we have any concerns, told us not to hesitate to call the Solartherm office. We couldn't be happier with the fitting process, and the lads who provided it. We wanted to say: "Thankyou ALL for your support throughout the whole process" to the office staff too. Really impressed. Bernie and George Gatt Just too follow un today in May 2022, the whole team have been helping us going forward with various issues not even problems with what they have done/supplied but to get the most out of our system. Can't speak highly enough of them Oxfordshire

Solar panels and an air source heat pump connected to the existing solar thermal system that Solartherm installed almost five years ago. We are now almost self-sufficient and looking at a solar battery storage system as our next purchase when funds allow.

Slightly annoyed that the job was moved just before Christmas to the New Year. Although I do accept that not much power was lost in the few Christmas weeks we did not have the solar in place. The installers redeemed themselves with a good quality installation.

Our inverter failed about 6 years after the installation. The company that installed the system had gone into liquidation and we had some trouble finding another company to replace the inverter. We were very fortunate to find Solartherm UK who responded very quickly to our request for help. All members of staff that we spoke to were helpful. The work was carried out soon after we contacted them and the installers were very competent. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company.

An excellent service from start to finish. It started with a very detailed emailed quote with fully costed options with benefits and limitations fully listed and links to other sites for my further information and investigation. This was followed by a detailed site visit with my needs and preferences fully consulted and met. The installation team was on time and very neatly done even at the expense of extra time materials and effort to ensure the best possible finish. We have bought all of our solar panels and ground mounting from Solartherm`s warehouse in Basildon, and for our holiday letting cottages. We have done some DIY with the frames and panels, and managed to get the electricians form Solartherm Uk to visit for the complex stuff. Nano coating of solar panels. Something we`d seen last year at the ideal home show, and we called Solartherm to see if they could get it. They cleaned the system up, and applied a liquid gel. It`s been 4 months and the panels generally do not seem to hold any dirt. They are shiny and I am feeling their performance has definitely increased. Best of all they were cheaper than the show price from the manufacturers!

So we have the Veg plot now in the back garden. We have the Chickens, we burn logs and cook through the Rayburn, But something was missing……..In comes Solartherm. We have managed to squeeze 20 solar modules on the outside fence run, abutting some common ground. They can`t be seen but are in full sun and at the weekend provided more power to this house than it can possibly use. Go green !

Solartherm Uk have taken away the worry today of having a solar panel system that was totally underperforming. I accept we never bought the original system as it came with the house we bought, but it was installed when the rates were very high, and we had the transfer of ownership from the sellers. They said it had never worked from the off, and the installer my planets had since gone bankrupt.

We cook on Gas so it was a bit of a blow to have it ripped out. However, we wanted the new electric range cooker and it didn’t have a gas top option. So we opted to cap the gas and remove the boiler at the same time. We have been signed up to the RHI for payments on our new heat pump, and have had a solar power installation too. Definitely the way to go to give back a bit to the environment, no problems at all with Solartherm who were spot on.

We have had our old solar panels upgraded and coated with some Nano coating stuff. They look cleaner without being shiny. We have an increase in production in averaging at about 16% per week.

Having had solar panels installed under the original grant in early 2010 a confined in the neighbours garden has completely blocked the lower panels. With a problem neighbour we asked Solartherm to advise. We have coated the panels with a lacquer that has stopped then conifer debris laying on the panels, and added optimisers to the panels that have made a world of difference.

Excellent system installed on our new build house. We had to have 15% of our power generated by non fossil fuels. Our architect recommended Solartherm Uk, who were very on the ball. We have an embedded solar panel system in a slate roof that looks similar to the roof. Very sleek, and we think actually makes increases appeal. SolarEdge system shows us daily what electricity we create and use.

I was put in touch with Solartherm UK from our inverter manufacturers. The old equipment had popped its fuse, although we thought it was something more sinister. A quick test of the panels shows one was not even working. We had the original system by my planet, they have gone and we thought we were up the creek. Great service provided by some very responsive office girls, reasonable cost and we may have a nibble on some other gadgets at a later date.

A few minor hiccups in that my optimisers were not pairing or something with the inverter. Not talking to each other I think they said. It was getting late so the engineers went and said they'd call first thing. We are a long way from their Basildon base so didn't argue. So it was very refreshing when Maureen rang next morning, logged us into our system do some Magic and on the iPad it was. A live system, looking at all the panels. Took the wrong away from what we'd spent part of our pension on a few years before. Excellent service

Out with the old in with the new. We are making £840 per annum on average as FIT payments, not inc our savings against the bill. We are up by around 14%, with a few highs at 17 and 18% respectively. We've had a new optimised system installed. Inverter says 99% efficient, and I'm convinced in that. Had a full quote, we let them sweat a bit but they didn't budge on cost, so I'm sure we had the right price. Had a modbus meter fitted also, and we will be having their battery pack once we fill back up the coffers.

We were told lies from the word go by this firm, the salesman Mike lied about freebies like chop clock and 2 free panels which wasn't true. We had to ask three times for an itemised bill which we were told is not possible as they were offering us a package. We finally received it after threatening to cancel. As we were awaiting two other quotes we waited until Tuesday before contacting the girls in the office, who we were told were lovely and very helpful...... ha ha ha...... only the receptionists at the gates of the fiery inferno could match the charm of those girls. They have been rude to me, refused to help me on my face (Amy and Terry) and finally hung up on me today. We decided to cancel even when they matched a cheaper quote offering the same thing as they gave us far too many lies and kept chopping and changing what was part of the package. We asked for our £100 to be refunded,14 days, 4 emails, 3 calls and there is still no sight of the money. Dan Bovill who I have been told is dealing with my refund has not replied to any of my emails so far. A complaint has been raised with trusted traders and ombudsman.

They were very helpful at the initial enquiry. The rep/assessor was very knowledgeable and helpful without applying any pressure. After agreeing to go ahead we were kept informed on an almost daily basis. Both scaffolders and fitters were friendly and very efficient. Support from the base has been excellent all the way through and continuing after completion. There may just be a company who might match Solartherm but I very much doubt if there is one that could beat them!

Before going solar my wife, oldest daughter and I wanted to make sure to shop around and get a variety of quotes in order to make the most informed decision we could. We really appreciated the level of knowledge that Solartherm brought to the table. Some of the other companies we talked to didn't seem to know the answers to a lot of our questions or even seemed to make up whatever sounded good. I really appreciated the clarity with which they explained the differences between the various ways of going solar. After a quick phone call, we learnt that financing our solar install would be the most economical option for us. I can't recommend them highly enough to anyone interested in going solar, if you don't include a quote from these guys in your research process you will be missing out on valuable information.

We have been getting around £1500 a year from our solar panel investment of 15 panels fitted in December 2012. Wary of upsetting this we approached Solartherm gingerly when wanting a solar hot water controller added to our system. I was concerned it may effect my generation or meter results. However we took up a complete transfer of the inverter system and plumped for a TIGO optimisation system, plus the hot water device. 6 months on I can state a vast improvement on payments and yield. More than pleased we chose the latest technology, makes sense.

We took a cold call from Solartherm UK regarding our solar panels and the warranty on the old inverter in place in the loft. We were not aware it had a shelf life. We contacted the installer...gone! We contacted the manufacturer.... gone! What was now on offer I hear you ask? A full system check, a new optimisation technology and a 25year guarantee, with a 10year insurance on the installers themselves. Solartherm confirmed on arrival that the old inverter was still working, and it was our choice if we wanted to exchange. We were shown the figures via computer, and jumped in feet first. We are cautious and far from dumb. The TIGO system installed showed a panel down and investigation from the install team found damage to cabling in the loft. Amazingly it seems one panel had never worked from the outset. So now we have increased power, increased feed in payments and technically an additional panel. Love it

As a widow living on her own I'm wary of inviting any organisation into my home as you only have to watch Cowboy Builders and Watchdog to see some of what goes on but I really wanted to reduce my energy costs and add value to my property at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak! Solartherm UK were quick to respond to my initial enquiry, explained all the options carefully and made it easy to decide on a solar array within my limited price budget. The surveyor was very polite and allayed any fears I had followed by a stress free installation. My only niggle was with the sub-contractor they hired to erect the scaffolding for the install as they blocked my drive but other than that I'm now receiving my Feed in tariff payments along with a much higher property value when I sell in the future. I have been scratching my head since the installer of our Solar electric system stopped taking our calls, since reporting a fault. Reading through some online reviews I took the plunge with Solartherm Uk. Not local to me but came with a recommendation from Which? Good enough for me, they did most of the fault finding by phone, agreeing that it was either the inverter or an isolator. They arrived promptly yesterday and to my fortune found a burnt out isolating switch. The bill.... just £147. If they'd charged £700 for a new inverter (I'd had prices over the phone from others at over £2k) I would have known. Thank god that honestly is still alive. I thoroughly recommend Solartherm UK, please use this review as I did to decide and make sure you get the right installer. Thanks Solartherm I am genuinely very pleased.

Just had a solar system fitted by Solartherm uk (Silvercrest) we have had a solar immersion controller called a solic 200, which is working very well. Having had a bright (but cold) day today the water temperature has remained hot all day. Usually given our tank is in the loft it gets cold throughout the day and we can here the boiler running continuously to keep it topped up. It appears we no longer have that problem as the 4kw of solar far outweighs our use and I believe the export is used for free through our existing immersion. Having spoken to British Gas they tell me we get a deemed rate for export therefore we are getting paid for it also, despite not actually exporting it. Bizarre, but brilliant.
