Slakes Farm

Slakes Farm is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley 2 miles from Milburn , it is a small sheep and beef farm of around 40 acres. The farmhouse dates from 1743.


Milburn nestles at the foot of the Pennines with CrossFell in the background an area famous for the Helmwind. Lake Ullswater is 15 miles away and views of the Lake District Fells can be seen from the farm.

The village still has its church, primary school, and WI.


For your comfort we are a No-Smoking establishment and also please note that Guests Dogs are not permitted as our dogs, Moss and Ben, have squatters rights!

Slakes Farm has two double/twin rooms (en-suite)


Each room is tastefully decorated and includes provision for double or twin accommodation

Full Tea and Coffee making facilities are on hand.
Our Cumbrian Breakfast will set you up for the most vigorous of days - with Cumbrian Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Toast and of course plenty of hot Tea!
