At Collective Safety Solutions we aim to provide a range of training programmes and learning opportunities that are accessible to all and which meet the specific needs and requirements of all individuals such as site operatives all the way up to Director level specialising in high risk industries such as construction and the petro-chemical industry delivering in demand courses such as the CITB accredited Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and the Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), as well as a wide selecion of other accredited courses such as the IOSH Managing safely and specialised courses such as the Nebosh Oil and Gas certificate.

Collective safety solutions is a construction skills accredited company, providing in demand courses such as the SMSTS site managers safety training scheme the SMSTS refresher and SSSTS offering 5 day block courses for the SMSTS at our three separate registered locations in London, North Yorkshire, on the outskirts of York and also the North east, on the outskirts of Durham, our trainers are educated to Nebosh Diploma standards and can all draw on a wealth of experience, in the construction industry.

Collective Safety solutions have over 40 years experience in the Petrochemical industry and all our consultants have worked in senior positions in the industry and are all qualified to Nebosh Diploma standards, we can provide training with specially tailored courses to meet all your needs for example Permit to works, and Nebosh certificate accredited courses as well as providing consultancy services such as:

Workplace audits
Advising on how you can design out hazards in you workplace.
Advise on CDM for shutdowns and creating and validating safe working practices.
Update and review current risk assessments and method statements as well as permit to works.

Health and Safety Policy

If you employ five or more people, you must have a written Health and Safety Policy. That is a requirement of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Once the Health and Safety Policy has been introduced to the workplace, Collective Safety Solutions can offer assistance with its implementation so that it becomes a natural part of the business operation.

Site audits

Health and Safety Audits are vital in identifying gaps in health and safety management systems, and identyfying were risk controls can be improved, we will carry out an initial assessment of your on site management systems and identify the shortfalls, provide a detailed report of our findings and then discuss a road map of how we can work together.

The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations require every employer and self-employed person to make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to the health & safety of his employees whilst at work, and the risks to others not in his employment who may be effected by his undertakings.

Method Statements are essential in providing safe systems of work. It has been a legal requirement since the introduction of the Health & Safety at work Act 1974 to provide safe working procedures. Whether tendering for work, protecting your employees or protecting the public there is now a great emphasis placed on recording safe working methods.

A method statement is a document that details the way in which a work task is to be carried out. The method statement should identify the hazards involved and should include a detailed guide on how to do the job in a safe manner. The method statement must also include the control
