Bought a dryer condenser from this shop and after two uses, smelt of burning and the drum stopped going round. Phoned up and asked for a refund and they said they come out to fix them first. So agreed and they came round and confirmed that the belt had snapped and they would have to order a new belt. Waited a month and didn’t hear anything so went into the shop. They admitted that they lost my details and that they had received the belt in the shop. They said they would come and fix it but didn’t show on three occasions but said it was because they was very busy, which is understandable. Admit left it a few weeks before deciding to take the dryer into the shop myself to be repaired. Left it with them and left my number. Once again did not hear from them so after a while went back into the shop and they said that I gave them a wrong number. Anyway he put the new belt on and delivered it no problem. But when I tested it the drum was going round but no heat was coming out of the dryer. So returned it once again to the shop but they were away so left it with them another few weeks. He said that it I had knocked the dryer when returning it but that he would put a new motor in no problem. They fixed it but again after a few uses smelt of burning and the belt snapped again. I brought the dryer back to the shop and instead of getting an apology she said and I quote “Can’t believe you have come back”. I said that its not my fault the dryer is faulty and she replied “Well you shouldn’t be hauling it about”. I again asked for a refund and was refused as they said my guarantee had ran out as over six months. But he did take the dryer away and offer me a replacement. I agreed and again waited a few weeks and had to go back to the shop to once again find out what was going on. He refused a refund as said its been over six months but offered me a replacement. Anyway they delivered it but guess what they just brought same dryer back with a new belt on! It has the same scratch on but thought it must be a different dryer. But within a few uses smelt of burning and the belt snapped again. So obviously the same dryer! This is absolutely appalling and to say that my guarantee has ran out when I first consulted them within a few weeks of buying it is no excuse. Ile be taking this further and going to make several complaints including trading standards. And if necessary will be happy to go to court.
