Spiffy - A Helping Hand to Happiness

Hi there, we're Paul and Shaun from Spiffy! Spiffy is a bricks and mortar, and online store, dedicated to your happiness, fulfilment and positivity. We both have suffered with mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, and believe that your attitude and how you think play a big part in your well-being. We're also keenly aware of how mental health issues are prevalent for a huge proportion of the population. That's we decided to use our experience to open a store solely focused on helping people to overcome the obstacles they face in life which get in the way of their happiness. Everything we offer is designed to help people with issues such as low confidence, low self-esteem, negative thoughts, stress and anxiety. We have a wide range of books, journals, affirmation cards and prints, essential oils and aromatherapy, and treats that brighten your day (e.g. bath and beauty, chocolate, fun ceramics, quirky and inspirational postcards). We also have a children's section to help kids understand their emotions and feelings so they grow up to be emotionally intelligent adults. The whole ethos of our business is positivity as well as accessibility. We want to break the stigma of mental health and encourage people to talk about, and explore, their feelings. We've made a concerted effort to be open and approachable as people, but also not position our branding as something niche or a luxury. Mental health affects everybody from any walk of life so we wanted a welcoming, colourful approach so we can appeal to whoever may be struggling. Since we've been open, we've run a number of workshops with another local start up coaching company (How You Think Ltd) to run workshops on confidence, resilience and positive thinking.
