Fairway House “This is a very comfortable, high quality apartment.” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 weeks ago for a stay in February 2015 Fairway House is a ground floor apartment in a new residential area on the outskirts of the small town of St Andrews. It is finished off to a high standard and has excellent equipment. All the kitchen equipment looked new although we didn't actually use it as we were just using it for bed and breakfast. The beds were very comfortable with good quality bedlinen and the en-suite shower rooms and the family bathroom were also sparklingly new and clean with luxuriously thick towels. The garage is on the tight side but it didn't matter as there was never any problem parking outside the flat. The Golfers Rest did not disappoint. On entering this spacious three-bedroom apartment within a traditional building, we were impressed by the modern furnishings, decor and equipment. Our breath was taken away by the stunning view from the lounge overlooking the West Sands. Although there were no golfers among us, I'm sure many fans of the sport would be impressed by the glimpse of the Old Course, which is just a short walk away. The apartment is also a short distance from most of St Andrews' top attractions, restaurants, shops and cafes. This would be a wonderful place for a holiday at anytime of the year. The apartment is very comfortable, well appointed and, most importantly, clean. While the mattress in the smaller double bedroom was a little soft for our liking, few would find fault with anything here. There is a good sized open plan living room, dining and kitchen area which is perfect in an apartment suited to a large famiy or perhaps for three couples holidaying together. There was sufficient on street parking outside and the stairs to the apartment were easy to climb.
