St Anne's is a listed early 18th century former wool merchant's house in the heart of Painswick. A traditional English country home interior with antiques, a log fire and relaxed family atmosphere. We have three guest rooms and are within easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants offering meals from the simple to the gourmet. Take a stroll through the winding streets of Painswick and browse the quirky shops, antiques, fabrics, books, hand made clothes and jewellery, woodwork and much more. Explore the romantic Rococo gardens with acres of magical woodland, secret hideaways and great homemade cakes! Take a walk up to the prehistoric fort on the Painswick Beacon and look down over the river Severn and across to Wales. We provide a large, varied, wholesome breakfast with many locally sourced, organic ingredients. Free range eggs and meat, organic dairy produce and homemade breads and jams. St Anne's is situated on the “Cotswold Way" long distance footpath and in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We especially welcome walkers, cyclists and all nature lovers.
