St Peter's is an Investor in People school where we have a committed staff who want to do their best to motivate all our pupils to learn and develop their talents to the full. As a Business and Enterprise College we are a Partner with the Co-operative Group and work closely with other Co-operative colleges throughout the country. We have links with schools abroad from Spain and Poland, to Boston, USA and Beijing, China. St Peter's is a truly international school where pupils enjoy their work and achieve highly.

About Us

St Peter's is firmly established as one of Manchester's most successful high schools. It is a Roman Catholic High School founded on gospel values where pupils are encouraged to live their faith and to lead upright lives.

This is a young and exciting school providing excellent pupil care, outstanding examination results and very high quality teaching. As a result of its outstanding performance, St Peter's has been designated as a National Support School and a Leading Edge School giving it the role of helping other schools to improve.
St Peter's is an inclusive school. We work closely with our partner primary schools to support pupils in the transfer to high school; at St Peter's we give pupils every assistance and encouragement to succeed and to proceed to one of our partner sixth form colleges, Loreto or Xaverian, before they move to university or the world of work.
The school has many strengths. Our sporting provision is excellent: we have won over 100 trophies in the last four years including local, regional, national and international titles. Our Performing Arts is also very popular: pupils perform to a very high standard in school and at local theatres.
The school regularly raises funds for charity: each Christmas year 11 students donate a substantial cheque to Cornerstone, Manchester's charity for the homeless, and over the last four years the school has raised £30,000 for Francis House Children's Hospice.
