I have been attending Stagecoach Oxford for the last thirteen years. Throughout my time I have grown more confident as a perfomer and as a person. This new found confidence I would not have gained without the help of this stage school. The performance opportunities and training standards are excellent!

Simply Stunning Sweeney Todd!

Dear Editor Sweeney Todd performed at the Stagecoach Oxford Senior Workshop 27 July-5th Aug 2011 From the moment I walked into the Theatre at Headington, even before the show had started I knew I was in for a treat and I wasn't wrong! Firstly the magnificent set transported you back in time to a dark, dismal London, then the "beggars" that were everywhere gave me a really eerie feeling with their vacant, desperate staring and pitiful pleading. The sullen sadistic steely eyed Sweeney Todd was played superbly by James Penniston- and the lovable, loath able, laughable Mrs Lovett, equally brilliantly cast, was played by Harriet Matthews-both gave "West end" performances to be proud of with fantastic singing, dramatic acting, wonderful humour, and are stars of the future. They were supported by great performances from George Watkins- as Bamford Beadle with his booming voice, Ryan Harrison as the naive and cheeky Toby, Robert Peacock as the terrifying tyrant Judge Turpin, the lovely Chantelle Vicavs as Joanna with her sweet voice, and Dan Richards gave a convincing performance as the romantic Anthony. Not forgetting Rebecca Goldie as the more than believable Beggar Lucy Barker. This would have been a wonderful, awe-inspiring, spine tingling, experience if I had seen in the West end - but it was even more impressive as it was cast and performed in I WEEK by 11-18 year olds! I take my hat off to all of you - you were simply stunning and all STARS NOW and certain Stars of the future –as the whole audience would agree as they gave them a resounding standing ovation – and rightly so! I can't wait for the next one –Well done to everyone involved you were truly sensational!

Sweeney Todd

This has been the best stagecoach show yet, the roles of Sweeney and Mrs. Lovett were outstandingly performed by James Penniston and Harriet Matthews, Robert Peacock made a truly spectacular Judge Turpin, and Ryan Harrison was a fantastic Tobias, George Watkins also portrayed the role of The Beadle with great fluency and skill. Leads in this production were truly born to play these roles, i expect more great performances from them in the near future, the original cast couldn't have done better.

i have been viewing the stagecoach Oxford stage shows/performances for the past 5 years and i must say that i have never been let down by the high standard of drama, dance and musical theatre that this company has to offer, from their recent advanced course of Sweeney Todd, staring James Penniston and Harriet Matthews, also special mention must go to Robert Peacock who played a spectacular Judge Turpin, and was closly followed in performing standard by the Beadle, George Watkins. it was amazing.

My son attends and his confidence and skills in performing have really progressed. He has so much fun and he always asks "Please can I go to Stagecoach all the time instead of ordinary school?"
