Broadside Chalet Park
I haven't managed to find many reviews for Broadside Chalet Park/ Stalham Chalets - so thought I would add one to help out other families- I was given a tip off last year when we were looking for a good value family holiday - for value it really can't be beaten: 1st week of school summer hols for less than £250 S/C for 2 adults & 2 kids!!! The village is very nice, Tesco up the road, Chalet park is lovely SAFE location for kids, lots of outside space. (our kids were 6 & 4) The individual chalets are mostly privately owned & let through an agent Mrs Rea so I suspect it can be a bit hit and miss with how the chalet is furnished & equipped. Our one had a v. hard bed otherwise very well equipped. They are compact little chalets with 2 v small bedrooms & bathroom & living area BUT no smaller than a Mobile home & the bathrooms are proper. I am guessing some of them are suitable for disabled as lots of mobility scooters on site. Nice pool & playground area, Bar & restaurant is friendly & not stupid expensice (I was on the Jugs of Pimms in front of the pool). REally good value, basic but tasty and well cooked Cafe style food from the take away/ cafe. They will dish you up anything from their menu onto your own plates as a take-away (eg chilli-con-carne etc). Locally you can hire a boat on the broad or go to the really nice beach at Sea Palling. Winterton on Sea is ace for dog walking and the broads & Yarmouth are on the doorstep. Only shame is we had a job finding a decent pub!
