Terrible, uncomfortable, waste of time

I was learning with a driving instructor before but unfortunately had to move. Decided to go with Steve. What a mistake. When I called and booked it was fine but as soon as it came to the lesson, the moment I stepped into the car he said "well, do you have the money?". He said he needed payment straight away! My other instructor didn't do that. Then we set off, took me somewhere quiet and I had a go. I stalled first time as I was not used to petrol. Anyway, when we got going he kept "saying easy 'my name' easy now" and grabbing the steering wheel! There was no issue what so ever! He had a go at me for not indicating in time but his hand was in the way! It was so uncomfortable! He asked is I drove before (I was ready to take my test before I stopped) and then said well you haven't been taught properly and we were going to have to do it his way.. Every turn he grabbed the steering wheel, even at 5mph!! He also kept saying how his pass rate was '89% last year' and just bragging about random junk. It was infuriating! He drove me back and then booked me in for another 3 lessons straight away (I don't think I had a choice). Anyway, I have now cancelled them before I had another. I have found a much better instructor in Widnes who is brilliant! He said don't worry, you never forget how to drive. He was right, I went from being unable to drive around a housing estate, to driving on all sorts of roads and dual carriage ways in just one hour. I would highly not recommend. But you may have more luck than me, you never know.
