This is the hard bit “Who am I"... I worked in social care supporting adults with learning disabilities for 12 years so I am not used to talking about myself. I am better at asking the questions and making sure others are okay.



Anyway deep breath, here goes....



I'm Steven, Steve to my Mammy. I was born and raised on a farm in Portstewart, Northern Ireland (James Nesbitt, Game of Thrones & Derry Girls area). My wee wifee would say my accent is not as strong these days much to her disappointment.



I moved to Newcastle in 2003 for the love of a woman and have to say I fell deeply for the area.



I proposed (to the woman!) in 2010 at the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland and we married in Northumberland in 2012. It was planning our big day and seeing the finished album that ignited my passion for wedding photography.



Our three children arrived through the adoption process a couple of years later, they are full siblings and it was so special to keep all 3 together but not without its trials going from zero to three in one fell swoop!



They have helped me to further develop my skills when doing family and baby photo shoots (i.e. getting 3 children to look in the same direction at the same time!). Anytime we are out for a walk I take my Nikon camera and snap away.



It is lovely to be in nature and see their reactions to new experiences and places as well as their interactions with their Mum. I have a talent for capturing these intimate, unnoticed and often forgotten moments of everyday life.
