I offer personal mathematics tuition around the Oxford area. With educational experience from classroom teaching, learning support and sports coaching I tutor at a wide range of levels from numeracy work to undergraduate mathematics courses, with the majority being GCSE and A Level exam preparation. ...
Most lessons take place on weekday evenings. Tuition is mostly provided in hour long weekly sessions, however longer lessons and more intensive programs can be arranged. I am available for tuition all day during week days and by arrangement at weekends. For most lessons I travel to tutor at the students home, though I also provide a significant number of lessons at my home in Botley where that is more suitable. Lessons are charged at £25 per hour for GCSE and below, £30 per hour for A level and above. There maybe some additional cost for long travel times and distances. Before starting tuition I will generally arrange a 15 - 20 minute meeting so that you can meet me and discuss potential tuition. These meetings are free whatever the outcome. I have a degree in mathematics from Cambridge Univerisity, a PGCE teaching qualification from Oxford university and hold a full CRB enhanced disclosure.

My son had weekly sessions with Stuart Martindale from the second term of his A Level maths course. He enjoyed them very much and they improved his confidence with the subject greatly. He even arranged extra sessions during his exam period in order to reinforce his revision. I am sure the tuition he received contributed reatly to my son achieving A grades in both A Level Maths and Further Maths.

Before I started being tutored by Stuart, my maths skills and exam techniques were a little shakey. I told Stuart I wanted to get at least a C, and if possible a B. This was made possible and I ended getting a B. His consistent and dedicated approach to helping me understand problems was very thoughtful, and he empathised with the fact that maths isn't my favourite subject. Through fairly intense sessions and lots of exam skill practice, we got through lots of work. I would definetley say the sessions are value for money, and his friendly manor makes the experience enjoyable. Be prepared for intesity and vigorous repetition that all pays off when you open that envelope.

He is very profesional and his tuitions are amazing. he is got the ability of explaining things well in different ways; he is got the ability to make you understand the topics even if you don't know anything about it and he provides you withenough skills to pass the exams, achieve good grade and the most important thing learn about waht you are doing. Without his tuitions I wouldn't be able to be where I am now, that its 3rd year if university with an overall of high grades in all the subjects he have been teaching me. He is the best choice, with him I never felf that I was wasting money on my tuitions.

Mr Martindale taught me maths (at GCSE level) for two terms to improve my marks. His style of teaching was quiet but thorough and was set at the right pace for my style of learning. I acheived good marks in my GCSEs as a result of the help and I thoroughly recommend him as a tutor.
