I am like many men, I’m sure – I have a deep longing for a refuge, a place to relax, where I can get rid of business pressures, even home pressures, where I can go and be genuinely pampered, be refreshed, and be energized. Massage is the thing I think of when these feelings come into my mind, but I want something safe and honourable.​ It is always a nervous moment calling someone like this, and I remember this was no different except that she immediately put me at ease by understanding exactly what I felt. The other thing I recall is that she was 100% professional. When I visit Bara, it is as though I have stepped into this perfect world of calm – the lighting is perfect, the aromas are perfect and the music is the thing I will never forget – chosen very carefully to provide calm and peace, she chooses different music each time we meet. Bara is a very spiritually conscious person, which means that she is completely comfortable in herself. It allows her to treat me in a sense of completeness. I become the centre of the experience for the whole time I am with her. She describes it as ‘treating me like a God’. Knowing herself so well, she is a fountain of joy and wisdom to people who come into her world. She is free to make me feel beloved and honoured and enjoy the beauty of the experience through all my senses. I have already told Bara she is the best masseuse in the world. She has brilliant hands, but more than that, intelligent hands, through which she can sense exactly what is going on in my body. Sometimes I fall into a reverie, but it is always best to empty my mind if possible. Bara uses warm oils, and sometimes warm towels depending on how she feels I will enjoy the greatest pleasure. She literally overflows with love and freedom from judgement. In this situation you cannot feel other than you are beloved and honoured, and you cannot fail to see and feel the beauty in all that is around you. When I leave I am completely at ease. I can conquer new worlds, climb mountains, achieve business success or just wallow in a sense of being pampered – that’s why I return and return. Daniel
