Tao Retreat is hidden from the hustle and bustle of busy town life, tucked away on the outskirts of Maldon in Essex.
We are conveniently situated just off the Morrisons roundabout on Wycke Hill.
The Retreat has ample free parking for all our clients, and for those who wish to shop and then be pampered or are travelling on foot or bike, we are within 2 minutes walking distance from Morrisons supermarket with bus stops close by. Tao's owner Joanne Hobden, has had over 12yrs experience working within the beauty industry, setting up
'Serenity' based at the Blackwater Leisure Centre in Maldon in 2002.
Catering for both women and men, Tao Retreat uses a blend of the finest aromatherapy oils and Neals Yard Organic products to awaken your senses and invigorate and de-stress the mind.

Our Services

We specialise in holistic treatments to revive the body
and cleanse the soul. We also offer a range of
modern and innovative beauty treatments.

These include Bamboo Fusion Massage, Hot stone massage, anti ageing facials, deluxe top-to-toe body treatments, semi permanent lash extensions, minx nail enhancements and henna tattoos.

Tao Spa Packages and Pamper Parties

Indulge yourself in one of our Tao Spa Packages, each one with a unique combination of complimentary treatments for a true Tao Spa experience.

You can also take time out with friends and family with a Tao Pamper Party. Great for Birthdays,
Hen Parties and Proms. Pamper Parties are designed for groups of 4-6 people and include
lite bites and refreshments.

We have teamed up with Little Smilers who are also based at Knowles Farm to offer a fantastic range of makeover, beauty and photography services for all occasions such as maternity, prom, mother and daughter and hen parties.

For the ladies – we offer a unique make-over/photo package, including a choice of beauty treatments to glam and groom your style with a small group of friends. Choose from a range of 30 minute treatments including Mini Facials ~ Massage ~ Makeup ~ Manicures ~ Tinting ~ Eyebrow Grooming and Pedicures, Followed by a professional photo session.
