I originally started going to Tapas Plus I, the more traditional restaurant that has been there for years. Then the Domingues family that own it opened up Tapas Plus II next door as well - a more modern, lively bar style tapas restaurant, so now you're spoilt for choice. Praised quite rightly for its atmosphere and great food and service by the many regulars and new visitors alike.

Visit La Rumba thursday and sat nights for a great party atmosphere. Fab food and great people.

I went to Tapas Plus a few weeks ago with a few friends and we had such a lovely evening. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming; we were immediately seated, given Menus and brought drinks. We had a selection of different dishes including Spanish omelette, prawns in garlic, deep fried cheese (amazing!), meats, cheeses and anchovies. Every dish was nicely presented and delicious and we even ended up ordering a couple more dishes! We had a couple of bottles of wine and split between four it came to about £20 each which is very reasonable and a thoroughly enjoyable evening!

I have been here twice in the last few months. The first time I really enjoyed it. I had meatballs and rice, garlic bread and it was delicious. The second time I was disappointed. This time it a big party for a birthday. I had garlic chicken which was not nice, garlic bread was OK, breaded cheese which came in a horrible tasting chutney. The Spanish omelette was nice though. I think the others really enjoyed their food so maybe I was just unlucky. It does always look really busy- which is surprising since there is another place a few doors away- so other people must enjoy the food here. I would say- try it!

This place has been open for years!! An authentic and family run tapas bar makes for the outstanding service that ones gets every returning visit to Tapas Plus.La Tasca recently opened one of its half hearted chains 2 doors down so that those not in the know walking from town, will stop there first and not venture further and get to the lovely Tapas plus. The one thing that makes Tapas plus better than any other tapas restaurant that I have visited in england is......the Deep Fried cheese with red onion marmalade!!!Not a traditional Tapas dish BUT oh my golly its amazing. Apparently they have tried to take it off the menu but people complained!!!Other delights include, paprika octopus, delicious grilled sardines and chorizo cooked in cider!Makes a perfect start or end to the evening. perfect for couples or big groups.I go back everytime i'm in Bournemouth and is a refreshing change from all the fancy bars or, seaside tack that bournemouth boasts!LOVE IT
