Don't be embarrassed to got to Hollywood or Brazil!

Two weeks ago, I decided it was time to bite the bullet, and get pruned. Having never had my nether regions looked at closely by anyone other than my gynaecologist, I was hesitant at the very least, at the thought of another woman getting 'down there' to mow away my unwanted hair. I had discussed the prospect of getting a Hollywood done with my best friend, and we agreed that it was likely to be the most embarrassing thing we could think of to have done, bar nothing...well maybe shaving off one eyebrow could be quite bad...I had seen an advertisement for the beautician services in www.gumtree.com, and as the rooms were close, with free parking almost at the door, I decided to put aside my fear and bashfulness, and book an appointment. I was greeted on the phone by a wonderful, quietly spoken but cheery young lady, who assured me that there was no need to feel awkward, as her staff were all experienced, professional women, used to the sight of all sorts, shapes and amounts of non-coiffured bits. Still feeling a little inhibited, I nevertheless booked an appointment for the following week. So, one week later, I very bravely set off and found a free car park just down the road...no excuse to back out now! The exterior of TenSixTwo Treatment Rooms is a little deceiving, as is not in the type of area you expect...very residential, but once inside, you breath in the delicious scent of an essential oil, see the beautiful smile of an attractive uniformed young woman, and you can't help but feel a little relieved. I was offered a cup of divine herbal tea, and was led into my treatment room, where I was asked to remove my own panties, and don a pair of 'very attractive' black disposible ones. It had begun!! I will spare you the details of the actual waxing procedure, but will tell you that what followed was a very very professional, totally unembarrssing, almost painfree (no pain no gain right!) complete (and yes I mean COMPLETE) eradication of my muff. Not once did I feel ill at ease, uncomfortable or even self conscious, which is certainly what I HAD expected to feel. So I am now the proud owner of a newly glabrous 'wa-wa'...something I had never in a million years considered doing because of being a totally hetero chick, I was not that keen on having another female touch my bits. So..I am still hetero, have had another chick 'down under' and I am bald and proud of it, Hollywood Style! I'll gladly go back when the need arises, and the experience is one I can openly tell my galpals about. I doubt that any other salon would be as calming, peaceful and unhurried in their services as Tensixtwo Treatment Rooms in Balham. In fact even if I lived on the other side of London, I would consider the experience worth the travel.
