Thank you so very much for sorting my foot out, for the first time in a long time, I have been able to walk without being in agony. Grimsby July 13

If you have come to this page because you are looking for a podiatrist and are hoping to find a review / recommendation, then I’m writing to you. I've had treat...ment from Angela at the Achilles centre, after experiencing a running injury in January this year. I had already had some treatment from physiotherapist, who then recommended that my next step was to see a podiatrist. At the time of my first appointment I was unable to run, was waking in the night in pain and experienced pain when carrying anything more than a very light bag of shopping. Importantly (to me) Angela took account not just of the present injury situation, but also the build up the injury and past history and problems. She examined my feet and watched me walk and do other movements before talking to me about what the problems are and about treatment. I have been impressed by how she has explained everything to me fully (in straightforward language and no patronising) and explain the reason behind every exercise she has given me. I had confidence right from the start that I was in the right hands. I have needed only 4 appointments and now also have some inserts for some of my shoes and have advice on buying shoes in the future (day to day shoes as well as running shoes). I have followed the exercise program to the letter, I have felt very involved in my recovery and am very pleased with the result: I can now carry my work rucksack without pain, I am sleeping so much better now that I’m not waking up in pain, but most importantly for me, I am running again. So, yes, if you need a podiatrist – I recommend this one. Grimsby June 2015
