After taking advice from Trading Standards I registered with The Advertising Protection Agency at the begining of December last year and calls to my offices have now completely stopped. However, it took about 2 weeks longer than the 4 week estimate by TAPA to stop all sponsorship sales calls to my offices. TAPA provide decent customer service support and have a fairly quick response time. Their fees are not bad either. I would recommend other businesses that are receiving large numbers of sponsorship advertising calls to register with The Advertising Protection Agency. Registering with the TPS does not work. TAPA do stop the calls and are always there for you.

The Advertising Protection Agency
I signed up to The Advertising Protection Agency in the middle of January and the 6 or so calls i was getting a week from publishing companies in Manchester have reduced to the odd call a fortnight. They have helped me recover a payment i made to a firm that closed down that did not give me my advertising as promised. I would recommend anyone that is experiencing the issues i was to sign up to TAPA. Their customer service response time is quick also. I would rate them a very good 8.5 out of 10.

I was receiving half a dozen calls a week off Liverpudlian firms saying they were raising money for the emergency services. I registered with the TPS but it didnt stop these firms then ringing me illegally. I went to the Citizens Advice Bureau and they hooked me up with The Advertising Protection Agency. I registered with them at the end of the first week in January and the calls just dried up. I think I have had two calls in 6 weeks as oppose to around 40 in the past. Their customer support is above average as well and their fees not too bad. I'd give TAPA a good 9 out of 10.

The Advertising Protection Agency
The bottom line is The Advertising Protection Agency managed to get two advertising firms in Manchester to withdraw invoices they had sent me for sponsoring the emergency services. Before I registered with TAPA these firms were gonna take me to court. TAPA have stopped advertising calls to my mobile as well. They did what they promised and I am happy with that.
