Shoddy blinds and fittings

I've just had blinds fitted by this company and instead of feeling happy with my new blinds I find myself feeling cheated and lied to. 2 men turned up to fit them and it really was difficult keeping up with them. As one was fixing a blind in one room and the other was in another room. My adult sons bedroom had recently been plastered and had a new window fitted and the old blind did not fit anymore. All the blinds were fitted into the window casing which I didn't mind yet in my sons room I noticed the plaster had caved in at the side of the window casing and the blinds had been fitted into the hollow plaster ceiling and not into the casing as all the others had. I told him he had damaged the wall and he denied all knowledge of it saying it was already like that. The cheek of it! He said if he had done it there would be bits of plaster on the window (not if he had scooped it up and put it in his pocket there wouldn't be). He carried on denying it and made a hasty exit. After they both left with their money that I begrudgingly handed over I checked the window out properly and found 2 sets of screw holes in the casing on either side of the window, which were definitely not there before as the old blinds had never been screwed in. I also found bits of plaster on the carpet which he had carried through on his socks. I can only assume he had measured the window wrong ( yes he was the one who originally measured the window) and had to re-position the blinds when he realised they didn't fit. I am really not happy that his attitude was that I was imagining things. Surely if the wall had partially collapsed in the area you were working in it would be to your benefit to bring it to the persons attention before the job was started so you could not be blamed! He didn't because it wasn't. I allowed these two men into my house and had no choice but to place my trust in them. Big mistake! I was in a vulnerable position as a lone female and had no choice but to let it go so please use this shop with caution and make sure only one window is done at a time while you are in the room. I would strongly recommend that you request just one person to fit the blinds as it is really not necessary for 2 people to attend and makes it difficult for the customer. I feel it is only fair to say the other person was very helpful and polite but his workmate has ensured I never use this shop again and will not be recommending it to family and friends.
