Acting, Singing & Dance Lessons for kids 5 - 18 The Bournemouth Youth Theatre (BYT) is an exciting project for youngsters aged 6 – 18 years who enjoy the performing arts. Based at St Michael’s School in Summerville Road, Bournemouth (BH2 5LH), it’s the place where young people can express themselves freely whilst developing their performance skills. In order to ensure that the BYT is the right place for your child, the first lesson is free! There’s no obligation & no commitment until you decide you want to join. Once a member you can expect expert tuition over three hours in the three main disciplines of the performing arts, Acting, Singing and Dance. The BYT is committed to providing a fun, supportive and family like atmosphere for its students and with fees under £4 per hour paid as part of a twelve week term it’s certainly something that everyone can be a part of.

The Schools Principal (Michael Tomkins) is back on tour with the stars of the BBC Children's Television Classic - "Rainbow". Joining Mike on stage will be "Zippy, George & Bungle" in the show "Zippy, Superstar DJ".So if you're out and about at holiday destinations across the UK..... Look out for the show and be sure to stop back stage and say Hi.

best moments I've experienced
BYT enabled me to have some of the best experiences of my life. I've always said that there's no greater feeling than performing on a stage to an audience. BYT enabled me to do that. Many of us came to BYT from Stagecoach, and we met new friends and built on our experiences with the help of the amazing teachers, and before we knew it we were in theatres performing great routines. BYT greatly helped with my confidence and I'm very grateful that I was part of it for those years, as they were truly some of the best moments I've experienced

fun and character forming
My children love BYT - have done for the last 9 years and it's a big part of their life. It's friendly and welcoming but they work the kids hard and the stage shows reflect this. Children grow in confidence and are happy to be on stage in front of hundreds of people. A credit to Mike and his fantastic team. Oh and the fees are very reasonable too. Crikey I sound like someone who's paid to write comments but this is genuinely from the heart.

been going to BYT for about nine years now, but it still manages to amaze me every week! i love it! over the nine years my confidence has grown and will continue to grow until the day i leave ! I LOVE YOU BYT !!!!!
