About

The Buck Inn

The Buck Inn at Great Ayton, has always had an excellent reputation for having a warm welcome, and great beer..it's now gaining an equally good reputation as THE place to eat in the area. As well as having a new chef, who's served Royalty, during his time at RAF Brize Norton, it's new owner, Charlie Constantine, is credited with inventing one of Teesside's most well known dishes...the Parmo!!

During his stint in the RAF the chef cooked for The Queen and President Clinton, when he was in charge of the Officer's mess. When you learn that he was also once a national Young Chef of the Year, you'll understand why so many people are raving about the Sunday Lunches, bar meals and full A La Carte menu.

Now for the history lesson. In 1963 Charlie was a chef at Paradises in Linthorpe...it was there that he perfected his version of the Parmo. Made from Parmesan cheese, veal and Charlies secret sauce. It has since evolved into it's current form, containing chicken or pork and being deep fried, with a breadcrumb coating, and having won a place in Teesside folklore. Not only has the Parmo evolved, so has the menu at The Buck Inn, bringing good food to Great Ayton. To make a booking call 01642 722242
