Birthday Disaster - Poor Service
We pre booked a room for 2 joint birthday celebration's and most people were sat down for at the tables for 18:30. There were only 2 menus per table and 50 people. We had to ask to order so by 19:00 everyone had ordered, by 20:00 no one had even got a starter. On asking the 2 waiting staff they said they would see how long it would be and eventually returned to say 7 minutes ant the latest. Another half hour went by and we requested 3 times to see the manager, as good customer services you would have expected at least the manager to come out and apologise for the wait but she refused to come out as she was also doing some of the cooking. At this point 3 people walked out and there was no communication between the manager and the party. Maybe free soft drinks or a bottle of wine would have been a good way to say I am sorry but cant leave the kitchen as I am cooking the food. Over 2 hours later the food started coming out, still NO apologies by the manager and she expected her waiting staff to carry the can because she wouldn't. The food was average and would have expected if it was above slandered then maybe a bit longer. Once everyone had finished and we requested that the manager bring the bill out we waited however she appeared about 15 minutes later. Her first words were “Who is complaining" and by her demeanour she came across as aggressive. She then brought her staff in “2 Young waitresses" to say we were complaining about them. We had clearly explained we were complaining about the service from the time we ordered to the time the food cam. I believe the manager should have taken this complaint on and not palm off on her staff after all they were not cooking. There was no compromise and no goodwill gesture to either of the birthday ladies which I think is very poor customer services and that's 50 people that wont return because of lack of customer services and incompetent management

The best sunday lunch you can find. Very generous helpings, nice relaxed atmosphere. Very reasonably priced
