Just had a fantastic couple of days at the Castle Hotel , Bishop Auckland, great food, good beer & Wine and most of all superb service. Will def go back if we can get a booking.

disgusting
This pub looks beautiful however the staff leave alot to be desired, they are rude, foul mouthed, and the food was of the quality one would expect to find in asda under the smart price label. I left feeling disgusted and as if I had been robbed regarding the cost of the food. When trying to make a complaint I was told by the barmaid who was little more than a teenager to f**k off and get out. Needless to say I will never return there.
