Concept of the salon

The concept of ‘The Edge' was to provide the right environment for my clients from the design of the salon and its atmosphere ensuring a relaxed homely feel within eclectic mix of surroundings, deliberately avoiding the typical high tech, modern designs most salons follow. I wanted everyone to provide a warm and relaxed atmosphere.Over the years I have established my dream team who are totally dedicated to the concept of the salon As am employer I have never lost sight that my team also have a life away from work and accommodated their change in circumstances as the babies have came along to create that essential work/life balance. The salon has developed over the years with a number of on going alterations as the business has grown, in the future I hope to expand the frontage this will enhance the position on the high street and also accommodate ‘Art and Crafts' to retail, showcasing the creative talents of local designers.As well as managing the salon, I am currently doing a Degree in Applied Art an area a think my health is going to move my career into. I have reactive arthritis and hairdressing isn't the ideal job!
