I Stayed at the firs last week and felt I should comment on the professionalism and beauty of the establishment. The house itself is lovely and has just been re-decorated, my room was a huge first floor bedroom with a large ensuite and amazing view of the large garden that surrounds the house. You will feel very cosy here because the garden is protected by a large stone wall round the perimeter with huge fir trees at the entrance - a Summer stay here would be fantasic! The service was very friendly and proffesional, Dawn is a charming lady who will make sure your stay here will be perfect. Everything was spotless and the farmhouse kitchen (where breakfast is served) is to die for. The breakfast is a full continental which I was more than happy with. My wife and I felt very relaxed here and would definitely stay again.

The house itself is beautiful and well decorated. The breakfast was just cold cereal, sliced ham & cheese, blackend toast, orange juice, store brand croissants, boiled eggs and canned grapefruit. The clementines were too soft and mushy to eat and the bananas were completely green. The hostess of the house is very strict that breakfast won't be served after 9 o'clock, and even though she told us when we arrived that we could have our breakfast at 9:30 on Saturday, when we came down in the morning for our 'more relaxed weekend breakfast' we were greeted with rudeness and instructed that we would have to have 'whatever was left' since we 'were late'.To top off our slightly uncomfortable stay, the boiled egg that I had that morning made me ragingly ill later that afternoon.Even 'leftovers' should have a proper expiration date. I wouldn't go again, but the house is beautiful and about 15 mins by bus to Bath's city centre. It's only a shame that the management isn't more caring and welcoming
