The Grand Restaurant is a dream in cultivation and is the dream of the Sorathiya family which started in 2015.

Righteousness, Good Moral and Ethical Practice are core to the foundations of the Restaurant and these values are in everything we do.

Indian Cuisine varies greatly from region to region, people have their own preferences in terms of regional dishes of India. Most of the restaurants that describe themselves as Indian Restaurants in the UK serve food from the Bengal and Punjab region, you have a growing number of South Indian restaurants serving food from Tamil Nadu and Kerala but there are only a handful of restaurants serving cuisines from other parts of the Indian Subcontinent.

At the Grand Restaurant we aim to be different, we are continuously developing our menu to serve dishes and flavours from various regions of India so that our customers can enjoy something different and delicious for a change. We feel that there is more to Indian food than Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh, we wish to break-away from stereotypes like “Gujarati people put sugar in everything" and offer dishes that are true to the region and on the contrary.
