About

The Grange is one of the oldest properties in Normanton dating back to circa 1700 and exudes a homely warmth and comfort that can only be achieved with time. Owned by husband and wife team Stewart and Sarah Chambers, the house has been refurbished to a high standard.

Having been in Sarah's family for some 100 years, it has an interesting history and includes some unusual features, such as the solid oak lintels that can be seen above the entrance doorway and over some of the windows.

The Grange stands in its own private gardens. The gardens were re-designed in 2002 by Chelsea Flower show winner, Peter Garnett-Orme, and offer a tranquil setting with private, secure parking behind electric gates.

Testimonials

I was away for a training course and my Boss had booked me in at The Grange. What a fantastic choice! Sarah and Stewart were exceptional hosts - nothing was too much bother for them and they went out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. From the moment I entered, greeted by the smell of home made donuts, they both exuded warmth and hospitality. Stewart even took me to my course each morning after breakfast, and picked me up when my day was done.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a business trip. I stayed in a twin room with single occupancy. It was beautifully presented, clean, comfortable & quiet. There was a generous supply of hot & cold refreshments in the room, with a spacious clean & modern en-suite shower room. The bed was really comfortable. There was a workspace, free wireless access and even a sofa with a coffee table! The breakfast was cooked to order in the morning, and the hosts were more than helpful. A very pleasant stay, and really good value for money.
