Sporting Lodge Greyhound Hotel

This is a pleasant hotel, reasonably priced. I would say it is aimed more at the business market, but we stayed there as a family of four and were perfectly happy with it. We booked what they call an 'American-sized Family room', which is large enough for two double beds. There is a television in the room, a little ironing board and an iron, a hair dryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. When you book an American-sized Family room, you get free access to the leisure facilities, too - this includes a gym and a swimming pool (towels were provided). This makes it extremely good value, as the children really loved the swimming pool! The breakfast was self service, but you had the option of a full English (basically a fry-up!) or continental (croissants, toast, cereal, fruit). There is free parking outside.
