The Laurie Brewis Trust is a charity that works with vulnerable and ‘hard to reach' groups in and around Carlisle.
With trained and experienced staff the LBT enables people to achieve their potential, whatever their disability or personal issue, through individual development plans that are prepared at the project.
By working closely within the community LBT supports individuals to make positive decisions about their lives that can lead to further education, training and employment as well as having a major impact on their personal lives.
In 2013 The Glenmore Trust Management committee recognised that the Heathlands Project would be better placed to access charitable funds and donations and at the same time be in a position to help other vulnerable groups if they were independent of the Glenmore Trust
Subsequently The Laurie Brewis Trust (LBT) which was set up in 2011 by Heathlands project senior managers, primarily to provide further opportunities for those with disabilities and other hard to reach groups, took over the running of the Heathlands Project in September 2013.
