How all pubs should be.....

Service

Quality

Value

Despite being full of intelligent people under 50, Surbiton has always had a surprising lack of decent places to go for a drink and catch up with friends. There are plenty of football focused, Carling swilling, sticky carpeted establishments but an alternative for those of us who aren't as keen on fruit machines and huge tv screens has always been lacking. Until, that is, The Lamb was taken over by the lovey Adam and Liz. They have turned what was a bit of a dive into, dare I say, the best pub in the world! Not only has it been given a makeover into a cosy and welcoming place (complete with resident kittens) they have really embraced the role of hosts - you totally feel like they are inviting you into their home and are going to make sure you have a great time while you're there. They regularly put on themed nights (Talk Like a Pirate Day was a recent success) as well as Wine & Cheese nights, Halloween parties, live music (the Balkan Band is fantastic) and have converted the back wall of the great little beer garden into a 27 foot wii screen. Couldn't really ask for much more! However they deliver more, as the beer is great and the wine list very well chosen and varied, plus they serve a great selection of cheeses and chutneys. I think they have big plans for the future of the Lamb, and I have every confidence they will continue to improve on what is already an absolute gem.
