Holiday from hell

Upon arriving at the hotel, we struggled for parking and was told to pay at the very over priced pay and display a few blocks away. As we walked in the hotel owner and his wife were nice, we were shown to our room. You get what you pay for, we found a cotton bud under my sons bed from someone else. The television didn’t work and the beds were very cheaply made. In the evening, I decided to let my son play some pool. But had to cut that short as the owner was discussing lewd and crude conversations whilst children were present. The drinks bar was vastly over priced and unrealistic. We ended up finding a bar down the road which was cheaper and there were less crude and disgusting jokes. After we left, my son and myself started itching on the way home and when we looked at his back and arms, he was covered in what can only be described as flea bites, curtesy of the Moray House Hotel. I also was covered but more so on my legs than anywhere else. When you meet the hotelier and his wife, their own personal hygiene leaves a lot to be desired so go figure on the fleas. For what they charge you can find far better and affordable rooms. Breakfast we were told wasn’t included, due to value and I guess they just couldn’t be bothered. Worst short holiday we’ve had, avoid like the plague.
