More information

Records show there has been a priory on this site since the registration of the Doomsday Book in 1085. In 1536 most of the monasteries and priory's were burnt down during the reign of King Henry the VIII. The priory was then re-constructed in the 1600's from the burnt out remains, there are still ruins from the old building in and around the walled garden, where the swimming pool is now situated. The current house has been lovingly restored to its present splendour with a blending of comfort and old world charm. All rooms have been tastefully co-ordinated with a range of luxuries four poster bedded rooms with Jacuzzi baths are available for that special weekend break.

Testimonials

Me and my husband have just returned from a 4 night break for the sixth continuous year during the Goodwood racing festival. Deborah and Nigel are very welcoming and accommodating. We have stayed in nearly all of the rooms and each time we are impressed with the cleniness and the service provided. The breakfast is second to none with a full english breakfast with the choice of cooked eggs, fresh fruit, home baked cakes and kippers. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub within the garden, also we enjoyed the summer house. We thourougly recommend this B&B to everyone.

Firstly I must apologise for my rating, I can not give anything higher than a 5 out of 5 or I would. This place is unreal. Owners incredibly welcoming and the rooms and everything about this place is perfect. Sunken jacuzzi tub in spacious bathroom. Large 4 poster bed with lots of choice of tea coffee hot choc and biccies. Room is large. Swimming pool great size. Hot tub great. And as for breakfast? CHRIST! Walk in to dining room to find a table laced with fresh fruit, yoghurts, jams, cakes, sponges, tea, coffee, fresh juice, cereal. Then out comes the full english with with sausages, eggs toast mushroom and tomatoe. Not your cheap food either but proper good quality meat. The cakes are home made , moist and taste amazing. £100 for all this? Thats just crazy cheap for what you get and how you are treated. This is a perfect escape for anyone. This place will getting you hooked and u will not want to leave. Definitely coming back. This time with more family to enjoy this
