RidgePoint was first developed some 10 years ago to address the problem of cracking ridge pointing, when a ridge is pointed in a traditional way with sand and cement or lime it will crack over a short period of time due to weathering and constant roof structure movements, this requires constant maintenance. Most insurance companies don't consider a roof claim if the ridge capping is not professionally maintained. RidgePoint is pre-mixed, pre-coloured and has a range of additives including adhesives which increases the bond strength compared to traditional sand and cement or lime mortar.
