I have dined at the robin hood and little john for the past 10 years (having been taken there by my parents as a child and continuing to go as an adult) and have only ever found one fault!I always find that the wait for your meal is longer than average, I know it is nice to think it means your meal is freshly prepared from scratch, but I think it is more down to lack of staffing than that! So I would definitely order a starter if you are very hungry when you get there! The restaurant itself is delightful, very well maintained with attractive decor. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious and well priced. The robin hood outdo themselves with their dessert selection, it never fails to impress me and I would definitely recommend leaving room after dinner for one of them!

This is a friendly pub and restaurant which is very welcoming to families. There is a large garden with play equipment which is great for entertaining the kids until food arrives, and occasionally the pub holds organised children's entertainment (Easter bonnet competitions, Halloween parties, Hawaiian beach parties) hosted by Poz. The food itself is pretty standard pub fare, but good and using seasonal vegetables. There are two levels of children's menu - the basic sausage and mash, chicken nuggets and chips type meals, and a more imaginative one for older or more adventurous children. It's best to book on Sundays if you want to sit inside - tables in the garden don't require booking. The loos are clean but very small and there are no baby changing facilities.
