Here at The Thames Club we have a range of studio classes to suit all interests and abilities.

All of our classes are taught by friendly and fully trained fitness instructors, who will be all too happy to discuss your fitness goals with you. Our studios are bright, spacious and air conditioned, enabling you to enjoy your class in comfort.

The Gym
Our members comfort, wellbeing and ability to progress at their own pace and level is paramount to us at The Thames Club. With this in mind, we have designed our gym with the latest Technogym equipment on all our cardio equipment, our gym can offer you benefits such as:-

Ease of Use – Our Technogym Wellness Key System is extremely easy to use, even for the novice gym user – Simply insert your keycard into the equipment and follow instructions on-screen, guiding you through your training step by step.

Increased Motivation – With a clearly defined routine to follow and regular feedback on progress from our expert qualified gym instructors, you will feel more motivated to achieve your fitness goals.

Personal Service - The system provides each member with an individual fitness assessment. Each workout is then monitored, in order that both members and trainers can see how they are progressing. Our friendly gym team are always on hand to give you the added motivation you require and will provide you with your own 6 week programme, aligned with your own personal health and fitness goals.

If that was not enough, we have a variety of resistance & cable machines as well as our free weights area helping you to improve your strength & stamina and a large stretch area which features a range of Swiss balls, bosu balls, medicine balls & balance boards. We have also introduced TRX training.

In order to make your workout more interesting, you can also try our top of the range Kinesis machines and kettlebells and even book in with one of our gym team and have a specific programme designed based around this equipment.

TRX Suspension Training

The Thames Club is pleased to offer TRX Suspension Training - never heard of it? Well combine the exercises of a cable cross-over machine, a set of dumbbells and a Swiss ball and you start to get an idea of what the TRX can do for you..
Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.

The Pool

Unlike many other gyms in the area, The Thames Club has its very own on-site swimming pool and wet facilities including steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi bath.
Our beautifully lit 20m pool is designed for adult lane swimming, children's swimming lessons and free play. We have a pool timetable with a vast range of programmes and exercise classes, allowing you to incorporate swimming into your health and fitness regime.

Swimming Lessons:

Swimming lessons are provided by our very own resident swimming instructor Jenny Budget. Jenny can cater to classes of all sizes and is able to provide guidance and instruction to swimmers of all abilities. Jenny is an extremely skilled swimming teacher, proven by the excellent results that her pupils achieve.

Childrens Swimming Lessons:

Jenny is giving the swimming lessons - 10 week course and will finish 28th March
Various times each week - Please contact the club for details

Adult Swimming Lessons:

Jenny is giving Swimming Fitness for Adults - 6 week programme.
(Adults are regarded as 16 years and above)

This course is designed to improve swimming stamina , stroke efficiency and lung capacity. Cost for the course is £60.00.

Parent & Baby Swimming Lessons:

We provide term time classes for Parents and Babies from 4 months to 3 years. Classes are run by the infamous ‘Seriously Fun Swimming Schools'.

Aqua Classes:

Our aqua classes are extremely popular and are a great way to keep fit. Classes are 45mins long.


We take hygiene within our wet facilities very seriously and ask our swimmers to shower thoroughly before entering the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. This is to keep the pool as clean as possible, making for a more enjoyable swimming experience for all.


The sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi are strictly adults only (16 years plus). The usual pool rules apply; no diving, no running, no glass on poolside, no snorkels or masks and we ask for considerate lane swimming.


Our bright and airy lounge is a great place to come and relax pre or post-workout or to simply meet friends and colleagues over coffee.
Enjoy a great range of light meals , drinks and hot and cold snacks in modern and stylish surroundings with free-wi-fi.

All of our food is prepared by our dedicated team, using only the finest ingredients and freshest of produce.
Our fully licensed Lounge also has a great selection of wines, sprits and beers.
Boxing Day Lunch:
Join us on Boxing Day and enjoy a delicious 3 course meal, for just £28 per person.

Sports Bar:
If you fancy catching up with friends and watching the latest match then come along to our Sports Bar, equipped with Big Screen, Pool tables and Sky TV. We also welcome Staines Town FC supporters, who often come along to the Sports Bar to watch the game on match days.
Internet Cafe:

For those of you who like to surf the web, join us in our internet cafe where we have high speed, complimentary internet access for your convenience.

Personal Training

If you're looking to maximise your time in the gym and want to see quick results, then our Personal Training service is for you.
Our friendly and fully qualified personal trainers will put together a fitness programme tailored around your abilities and fitness goals. Not only will they tailor your very own fitness regime, but will provide you with precise and constructive feedback, enabling you to improve on your fitness technique.
All thames trainer's are qualified to the highest level and are minimum REPS level 3 qualified. Our trainers pride themselves on being outgoing; friendly and approachable. They in turn spend time educating themselves in order to bring you the most up to date and innovative wellness information straight to you.
In order to start your personal training journey you can try a taster session with one of our trainers or book into a small group PT session. It really is down to you. When you want to book more and more sessions we offer members discounts whether you book 3 or 10 sessions.
Personal training sessions can be booked in to fit around your lifestyle, enabling you to visit the gym at your convenience. We have a large resource of both male and female personal trainers, waiting to help you get in shape.
