The Valentine

Located right by Gants Hill (Central Line) station off the A12 and with a fairly large car park The Valentine is easily accessible."The Val" (as it is known to the locals!) is a very large pub, yet reasonably priced. They offer a wide range of drinks including different beers, wines and an extensive cocktail list all at the going rate I'd say.In one "corner" of the pub is an area with about 4/5 pool tables which are fairly popular and are always in use throughout the night but you definitely get your turn on them (£1 on the side, winner stays on!).The Val shows has several large screen swith televised Sky Sports matches - although I do have one complaint! I went down there during the Euro 2008 qualifiers back in 2007 and they had the match on the screen but on silent as they had a karoake night in progress at the same time!! I have since heard that this didnt go down too well and Karoake/England football matches will not be conducted at the same time in future!Friendly pub during the week - quite a lot livelier at the weekend. Not a bad place, never any trouble.
