great local public house
popped in for a pint whilst up from newcsstle visiting relatives.never been in a more welcoming atmosphere.both staff,kath and nicki were on top form with the banter with the locals and the home cooked ham soup was the best I have tasted since me mam died many years ago.stayed the entire afternoon and left with a warm cheerio and a tongue lashing from the wife.worth it.
