This pub won a pub of the year award a couple of years ago, it certainly would not win now! Had a meal there on the 12th May 09, Lamb Shank with baby new potatoes, peas and gravy. Potatoes were not "baby" the were ordinary large new! Was served on a large plate swimming with maybe half a pint of gravy and a vast amount of small peas. Floating in the gravy was a small packet of butter (what was it for?). The lamb was nice, well cooked and a reasonable size, the rest was rather dreadful. I complained and we were given a sweet F.O.C. The price of this dish was just under £10, value? about half that!
